Hi All, We all know our league is in great need of more officials and that our officials need to be well-trained and up-to-date on all USA Swimming rules. We're excited to announce that we have two Officials Training Zooms coming up! They will be run by Jessica Workman, who is a National level official, the Referee for States, and just back from officiating at Nationals in Indianapolis. FOR RETURNING OFFICIALS: Thursday, June 19th (this Thursday) at 6pm. This session is strongly recommended for ALL returning officials. There will be a review of recent rules changes, discussion of consistently tricky calls, a Q&A for you to discuss things you've seen/things you've wondered about/things that puzzle you, and more! Jess says that currently certified and working USA Swimming officials can skip this Zoom if they'd like, but she really hopes that ALL other returning officials will attend. FOR NEWBIES/TRAINEES AND FOR RETURNING OFFICIALS WHO'D LIKE A MORE COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW: Monday, June 30th at 6pm. This is where it all begins! This session will be for parents who are curious about officiating and want to learn more, people who've already decided they want to train, people who started training last summer but didn't get all the way through, and people who officiated years ago and want to get back into it. It's also for current/returning officials who'd like a more comprehensive overview and review.
