OUR COACHES

Meet our amazing coaches!

Siobhan Carey. Head Coach

My name is Siobhan Carey, I’m excited to be the Head Coach of the Quechee Otters and work with Emmy, Graham, Ethan and Elizabeth. I have been swimming on a team since I was 6 years old when I was one of the first kids signed up for a new swim team here at The Quechee Club in 2003. I swam every summer until I graduated high school in 2015. Although I dove in high school, I went back to swimming when in college. I swam for Westfield State University and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education with Moderate Disabilities and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Reading. In 2020 I graduated from Merrimack College with a Masters in English Language Learning. I have been an ELL teacher in the Boston area for 5 years and currently teaching in the Boston Public Schools. I am looking forward to continuting with the Quechee Otters, where it all began!

Emmy Williams, Assistant Coach

Hi Everyone! My name is Emmy Williams and this is my 3rd year coaching and 10th summer on the swim team! I love the quechee swim team because of its strong community and incredible sportsmanship. I still swim for Quechee, so you can catch me popping into the water during meets or swimming laps in the indoor pool after practice!

Graham MacLaury, Assistant Coach

My name is Graham MacLaury. This is my 3rd year coaching, and my 9th year on the team. I am a long distance swimmer and runner. I can’t wait for this season with the Otters and look forward to seeing you all!

Elizabeth Walsh,  Assistant Coach

Hi! I’m Elizabeth Walsh and I have been swimming for around 8 years. This will be my 5th year with the Quechee Swim Team and my second year coaching! I still swim for our team, so at pretty much every meet you can find me running around in my suit helping everyone get to where they need to be! I am so excited for this season and can’t wait to see all of our swimmers, new and returning!

Ethan Mitchell, Volunteer Coach

My name is Ethan Mitchell, I’m looking forward to helping our newer swimmers progress and build confidence at the meets. I am a rising Junior at Wellesley High School and was with the swim team since 2019. My favorite part about swimming is at the meets because there are people that are always cheering you on as you race and make you feel that you are a valuable member of the team. Other sports I do besides swimming include tennis, skiing, and golf. I also sing in a choir and work as a camp counselor for Mini-Crew. See you all soon, go Otters!
